The Young Professionals’ Academy (YPA) offers a semester program to college bound juniors and seniors from Dublin Coffman, Dublin Jerome, and Dublin Scioto High Schools. Being sensitive to the lifelong needs and goals of students, this program focuses on career exploration, leadership skill development, problem-solving techniques, time management, and technology instruction through authentic hands-on learning with professionals in Columbus area hospitals, laboratories, businesses, and schools. Students participate in classroom activities to enhance their communication skills, practice interviewing and strengthen interpersonal skills, write business letters, develop resumes, construct a portfolio, acquire technology rich experiences, and explore career opportunities in career fields of their choice through two non-paid internships.
