Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!  As a fourth grade teacher for 17 years, I consider it a true passion to work with students at this grade level.  I like to say that I teach fourth graders, not fourth grade!  This offers me the opportunity to instill, or enhance, a love of learning with your child.  I honor the uniqueness each student brings to the classroom and try to foster an open environment where ideas can be shared, students feel comfortable expressing themselves, and each child is expected to reach the high expectations we set for them.  Our classroom is founded in the following principles; Respect, Responsibility, Resiliency, and Reciprocity...We refer to these as the core four "R's"! Our class motto is "We CAN Do Hard Things!" I encourage a collaborative relationship with home and school and I am looking forward to an amazing school year.
