SUPER GAMES is on WEDNESDAY- September 28th

Mathematics

We participate with collaborative learning daily. We discuss practices of Marvelous Mathematicians and our thinking strategies. This week we have been discussing concepts: Time, Place Value, Skip Counting, Fact Practice, and Story Problems.

Reading/ Writing Workshop

Students completed a “write off” activity from Mo Willems giving evidence of the common conventions: Capital Letters, Punctuation, and Neatness.

Students were very excited to use all the “sentence stoppers” in Pigeon’s speech bubbles.

As children read they are becoming aware of our valuable time to stay on task during workshop. Engagement is at a top priority. Students had an activity relating to the setting of a story using pictures and words as evidence.

Your child’s Reading Log is due EVERY Wednesday! Please make sure the minutes are added up and the log is signed. Your child should read 120 140 minutes each week.

Social Studies/ Science
