Dublin City Schools Mission Statement
We believe that all students can and must learn at relatively high levels of achievement.  It is our job to create an environment in our classrooms that results in this high level of performance. We are confident that, with our support and help, students can master challenging academic material and we expect them to do so. We are prepared to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents to achieve this shared educational purpose.
Awards Assembly Formats

The Eighth Grade Awards Assembly will take place this year on May 24th, at 1:30 P.M. in the KMS gymnasium.   Parents will be invited to attend prior to the event. If your child will be receiving a special award, you will be contacted by the individual presenting the award to your son or daughter.  


Differing from years past, the sixth and seventh grades will not be having a whole grade level Awards Assembly. Rather, each individual team will have a team activity where they will share awards with the students on their teams. 
Thank you to our 2012/13 Library Volunteers
KMS librarian Margaret Hall hosted breakfast for the PTO library volunteers.  She noted that there are now 15,560 books in the collection and an average of 665 students per month using the library.  Thank you to the PTO for the providing additional shelves approved at the May PTO meeting.  This completes the need for library shelves.  Contact the KMS library or PTO if you'd like to become a KMS library volunteer.

May 10 the KMS Korean Families sponsored a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast during National Teacher Appreciation Week.  Many thanks to our great parents. It was delicious!

At its regular meeting May 13, the Dublin City Schools Board of Education approved Mark Mousa as the new principal of Karrer Middle School effective June 1.
