Sports Updates for Week of Feb 27 - March 3
The following changes have been made to this weeks conditioning / practice schedules:
Monday:  (Feb 27)
-  7/8 Softball Conditioning has been canceled for today.

Spring Sports Athletic Parent Meeting
Attendance at Required OHSAA Parent Athletic Meeting - If your son or daughter did NOT play a Fall or Winter sport at Davis, you MUST attend one of the required meetings listed below. If they did play a Fall or Winter sport, you do not have to attend. Your previous attendance is on file.

Sports Nutritional Seminar
In conjunction with the Davis Parents University program,  the athletic department will be holding a free seminar about sports nutrition and middle school athletes.  In this seminar,  you will learn how an optimal diet (your athletic fuel) can maximize your personal performance.  Our nutrition program is directed by a registered and licensed dietitian from the Ohio Health Sports Medicine Program.  The nutritionalist will be also be talking about sports supplements, medical conditions, carbohydrates, proteins, fats, fad diets and other nutritional questions.  Please join us in the main gymnasium on March 15 @ 5:00pm.  No registration is required. 
Spring Sports Meet the Coach Night
The Spring Sports "Meet the Coach" Night is scheduled for Tuesday,  March 14 in the school gym at 7:00 pm.   Each family of a Spring Sports Athlete is asked to attend this very important meeting to meet with your child's coaches and pick up all the necessary information needed to successfully participate in sports this spring.  If you have any questions,  please contact the athletic office.

*  What is required to participate in Spring Sports?
1)  Current Physical -  on the approved Ohio High School Athletic Association Form (Found on athletic website) This must be in the Athletic Trainers office PRIOR to first tryout date for cut sports and prior to first practice date for non-cut sports.  All physicals are good for one (1) calendar year from the time of the physical.   Check with the training office if you are unsure about a Fall or Winter physical date.  If you are going to participate in conditioning,  you must also have a current physical on file with our athletic trainer.

Please go to the Forms for Download section of the Athletic Webpage to download and print the Concussion Consent & Survey Forms needed to participate in our free baseline testing program provided by Ohio Health.

Required Sports Forms on Parent Dashboard
The required forms for Davis Athletic participation can be found on the Dublin on-line "Parent Dashboard."  This is an on-line student/parent information management system that offers opportunities for families to create and submit on-line forms.  Each parent will need to create an Athletic Emergency Medical Authorization Form for his/her child before the first date of participation in either tryouts or practice.  
1.  Click on http://dashboard.dublinschools.net/parents
2.  Enter your Log-In Information
3.  Once you reached your dashboard, click on "Forms."
4.  Select "Optional Forms."
5.  Complete an "Athletic Emergency Medical Authorization Form."
* This form must be filled out prior to your child's first date of participation.

*  Be sure that both the Parent & Student electronically sign each form!
*  Other Forms to be completed on-line once you have made a Team:
- Concussion Acknowledgment Form - Needs to be completed again each sport season.
- Athletic Code -  Needs to be signed once a year
- Athletic Eligibility - Needs to be signed once a year
