Fall Sports Information for 2017
Listed below is the information you need for Summer Conditioning and Fall Sports participation:

Participation in any summer conditioning, practices or tryouts:  Will require each athlete to have a current physical on file with the Davis Athletic Trainer BEFORE you are allowed to participate.  Please see the "Forms & Downloads" section for a copy of the OHSAA physical form.  Forms turned in must be on this form only.

Required Athletic Parent Meeting:  Each family must attend one of the following scheduled meetings with the Athletic Department in order for their son or daughter remain on a school sports team.  These meetings are scheduled for:

                  *  Tuesday,  August 8 @ 7:00pm in the school commons
                  *  Thursday, August 10 @ 7:00pm in the school commons

Summer Athletic Offerings

Football Summer Conditioning:  Please go to the "Forms & Downloads" section of the Athletic Web site to download and print a schedule of the optional workouts available with coaches this summer.  You must have a current physical on file with the athletic trainer in order to participate in these workouts.

Cross Country Summer ConditioningPlease go to the "Forms & Downloads" section of the Athletic Web site to download and print a schedule of the optional workouts available with coaches this summer. Volleyball Open Gyms:  July 11, 13, 18, 20, 25 -  From 11:00am - 12:30 pm in the main gym.  You must have a current physical on file with the athletic trainer in order to participate in these workouts.

Tennis Open Nets:  August 2 & 3 at the Davis Tennis Courts.  10:00 - 11:30am.  You must have a current physical on file with the athletic trainer in order to participate in these workouts.

Tryout & Practice Information for Fall Sports

7 & 8 Football:  Practice begins August 1, 2017.  Practice is from 08:00am - 10:30am.  (Same time all week)  Players must have a current physical on file with the athletic trainer before they can join the team.

7th & 8th Volleyball:  Tryouts are on August 1, 2 & 3.  11:00am - 12:30pm.  There are no alternative tryout dates for this cut sport.  Final cuts are made on Aug 2 or Aug 3. (Coaches discretion)   It is highly recommended that your athlete make all two/three days of tryouts in order to make the team.  Players must have a current physical on file with the athletic trainer before they can tryout for the team.

Boys & Girls Cross Country:  Practice begins on Tuesday, August 1 @ 8:00am at the athletic end of campus.  Players must have a current physical on file with the athletic trainer before they can join the team.

Girls Tennis:  Tryouts will be on August 7, 8 & 9 at the Davis Tennis Court at 10:00am.  Practice begins on Aug 10.

Boys Golf:  Tryouts will be on Tuesday, August 1 & Wednesday, August 2 @ Mill Creek Golf Club.  Tee off time for tryouts is Noon both days.  You must have your own clubs, bags, balls, and golf attire. Players must have a current physical on file with the athletic trainer before they can tryout for the team.

Girls Golf:   Any girls interested in playing golf for Davis Middle School next school year, there is an informational meeting taking place this Thursday, May 18. The meeting will be taking place at Karrer Middle School at 7:00pm in the commons. All four schools will be meeting that night to discuss the important information you need to know to successfully participate in golf this coming school year.
Girls Golf Tryouts:  Tryouts will be held on August 2nd & 3rd at the Marysville Golf Club.  Tee off time will be 3:00pm.  All players need to be there no later than 2:30pm.  Players must have their own clubs.

Football Cheer:   Tryouts were held on May 19, 2017 for those interested in football and basketball cheer.

Our great sports partners from Ohio Health Sports Medicine have posted the dates, times and locations of their upcoming Spring Sports Physical Clinics.  Please go to the "Forms & Downloads" section of this site to print off a schedule and important information about obtaining your sports physicals for next school year.  Contact the Athletic Department with any questions. 
Concussion Testing Forms
Please go to the Forms for Download section of the Athletic Webpage to download and print the Concussion Consent & Survey Forms needed to participate in our free baseline testing program provided by Ohio Health.

PARENT DASHBOARD - SPORTS FORMS & EMERGENCY MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION

The required forms for Davis Athletic participation can be found on the Dublin on-line "Parent Dashboard."  This is an on-line student/parent information management system that offers opportunities for families to create and submit on-line forms.  Each parent will need to create an Athletic Emergency Medical Authorization Form for his/her child before the first date of participation in either tryouts or practice.
